The Web of URBAN TRAVEL THE CENTRAL HOUSE S.L. (hereinafter the Web) uses Cookies. Cookies are files sent to a browser by means of a web server to record the User’s activities on a given website. Legal Bases for the World Photography Contest

- ORGANIZING COMPANIES OF THE PROMOTION
The company Hostel Experiences Europe Overhead S.L., with its registered office at Calle Claudio Coello 16 (Madrid) and C.I.F. B88581517 (hereinafter the “Organizer”), organizes for promotional purposes the contest for:
- One stay of two nights with breakfast included at any The Central House for two people in a Private Double Room (subject to availability).
* The prize is exclusively for individuals of legal age according to the participation requirements outlined below.
- START DATE, END DATE, AND TERRITORIAL AND PERSONAL SCOPE
The total duration of the Promotion will be 6 days, starting from August 14, 2024, when entries will begin to be accepted, and ending on August 19, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (hereinafter the “Period”).
The Organizer reserves the right to extend, cancel, or suspend the Promotion, or change any of its conditions if, due to technical reasons or any other circumstances beyond its control, it cannot carry out the Promotion as stipulated in these legal bases, provided that such changes are announced on their social media channels and any related advertising is removed.
- PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROMOTION MECHANICS
The participation requirements are as follows:
All individuals who are at least 18 years old on the start date of the promotion, except for employees of The Central House and their immediate family members, may participate.
Participants must:
(I) Follow the official accounts of The Central House:
Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/tch_thecentralhouse/)
(II) Participants must take one or more photographs where no recognizable persons appear, capturing the essence of their favorite corner in a city they have visited. This could be a hidden café, an emblematic building, a park, a picturesque alleyway…
(III) Share the photo(s) they wish to enter in the contest in a post on their Instagram with the hashtag #WorldPhotographyDayTCH.
Participants in the contest will therefore be those users who meet all the participation requirements outlined in section three of these Legal Bases, in accordance with the specified terms and conditions (hereinafter the “Participants”).
Participation in this initiative implies full acceptance of these Legal Bases and the Organizer’s interpretative criteria regarding the resolution of any issue arising from the promotion and contest. Any expression of non-acceptance will result in the Participant’s exclusion and release the Organizer from any obligation toward them.
- PROMOTION CONDITIONS AND PRIZES
A jury composed of employees of The Central House will select 1 winner and 2 alternates from among all the photos published on Instagram with the hashtag #WorldPhotographyDayTCH that meet the promotion requirements. The winner will receive the following prize:
- One stay of two nights with breakfast included at any The Central House for two people in a Private Double Room (subject to availability).
The prize DOES NOT include transportation or any other service or consideration beyond what is mentioned above.
- The winner or, if necessary, the alternate, may redeem the prize from August 20, 2024, until December 31, 2024, both dates included, subject to hostel availability.
- The Organizer reserves the right to modify the prize dates due to high occupancy or force majeure.
The Organizer (either directly or through the agency managing its social media) will contact the winner and, if necessary, the alternate via a private message on Instagram, requesting their personal details such as full name, contact phone number, and postal address.
The Organizer also commits to announcing the winner’s name in a comment on the official The Central House social media posts starting August 19, 2024, as well as posting a story with the winner’s name on their Instagram accounts.
If the winner does not accept the prize or fails to respond within 72 HOURS of being notified, or if they are disqualified for not complying with these Legal Bases or other reasons, the prize will pass to the alternate. If the alternate also fails to accept the prize or is disqualified for any reason, the Organizer reserves the right to declare the prize void.
The Organizer reserves the right to substitute the prize if it is not possible to deliver the specified prize for reasons beyond its control. In such cases, the Organizer commits to providing a prize of equal or similar characteristics and/or an economic value equal to or greater than the announced prize. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances.
- DISQUALIFICATIONS AND PENALTIES
If it is found that any Participant does not meet the requirements outlined in these Legal Bases, or if the data provided for participation is invalid, their participation will be considered null and void, and they will be automatically excluded from the Promotion, losing all rights to the prizes awarded under this Promotion. The Promotion excludes anyone with an employment relationship with the Organizer, as well as immediate family members of individuals associated with The Central House. Physical persons related in any way to the organization of the contest are also excluded.
Participants must be natural persons acting in their own name and right. Therefore, participation through agencies and/or any third party other than the participant will not be accepted.
Personal profiles must correspond to real, natural persons. The Organizer may declare the Promotion null if irregularities are detected in the identifying data of the winning participant. The Organizer will also discard participants whose data is abusive or fraudulent.
Photographs with inappropriate content, including those that are offensive, injurious, or discriminatory, or that could infringe on the rights of third parties, will not be allowed. Photographs where recognizable persons appear will also not be permitted. The Organizer will not be responsible for any harm caused by publications made by Participants in the Promotion that may hurt the sensitivity of other participants.
Engaging in any of these behaviors will result in the disqualification and exclusion of the Participant from the Promotion.- IMAGE RIGHTS
Participation in the Promotion and, in particular, acceptance of the prize by the winners, expressly implies authorization for the Organizer to use the submitted graphic materials for advertising purposes, as well as the participant’s name and image if necessary. The participant’s name, surname, and image may be published on the Organizer’s websites and social media or any other media deemed appropriate (without any additional compensation beyond the prize). Refusal to grant this authorization will result in the forfeiture of the prize.
- DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
The Organizer is not responsible for possible losses, thefts, delays, or any other circumstance attributable to third parties that may affect the development of this Promotion, nor for the Participant’s use of the prize obtained in this Promotion.
The Organizer is also not responsible for the impossibility of registering any participant due to an error in capturing their personal data as a result of providing false, incomplete, or erroneous data.
The Organizer is not responsible for incidents and events of all kinds (e.g., inability to register participant data, interruption, or loss of connection) caused by a software failure due to force majeure; nor for incidents that originate from force majeure, such as a failure in the telephone, computer, or electrical network caused by external, natural (atmospheric, climatic) agents, or due to poor service provision by the supplying companies.
No responsibility will be assumed in cases of force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances that could prevent the realization of the Promotion or the total or partial enjoyment of the prize.
Likewise, the Organizer is not responsible for the improper use of the prize by the winner.- PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

This company, hereinafter referred to as The Central House, is responsible for managing the rights specified in the Personal Data Protection section below.
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, the personal data of the participants will be processed by the Organizer for the purpose of managing the Promotion, providing and offering services based on the maintenance of the pre-contractual relationship, and sending information from Hostel Experiences Europe Overhead S.L. for advertising purposes if the participant consents to it.
Participants’ data will be retained for these purposes for the duration of the Promotion and, once this period ends, for as long as required by applicable law and until any potential liabilities arising from the relationship with the Organizer expire, unless the participant has consented to the sending of commercial communications, in which case the data will be retained until they express their opposition.
If the participant expressly consents, their personal data may be communicated to the Organizer for the purpose of sending them communications related to goods and/or services marketed and/or provided by them, as well as to third-party companies subcontracted by the Organizer for managing the Promotion. The participant’s data may also be communicated to the corresponding public bodies in cases where there is a legal obligation for the Organizer to do so.
In compliance with the Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, and based on the Organizer’s legitimate interest, the Organizer may send you electronic communications related to the contest or about news and offers related to the goods and/or services marketed and/or provided.- CHANGES
The Organizer reserves the right to modify or expand these promotional bases, provided that such modifications do not harm or diminish the rights of the Participants in the Promotion.
- APPLICABLE LAW
These legal bases shall be governed in accordance with Spanish law. The courts and tribunals of the city of Madrid shall have jurisdiction to resolve any claim or controversy that may arise in relation to the validity, interpretation, or compliance with these bases.
