Our recommendations for getting around Istanbul on foot

Walking

One of the great pleasures… Immerse yourself in the Beyoğlu district, a neighbourhood that is rich in culture, multiculture, diversity, leisure and fun. Enjoy the little things that the city centre has to offer: the food, the street art, the markets, the history of Istanbul, all while burning calories.

Metro

You can make the shortest and most comfortable journeys from the Asian continent of Istanbul to the European continent with the metro line.

Wait! Even a metro line passes under the Marmara Sea to the Asian side. Exciting!

Bus

In Istanbul, there are two types of buses, private and public, which have the same lines and prices. They also have minibuses that move around the city’s streets. If you want to get on these buses, all you have to do is tell the driver.

Tramway

The tramway in Istanbul has three lines: two standard lines and a tourist line known as the nostalgic line.

Funicular

Istanbul’s funicular is the second oldest suburban transport system in the world, so if you’re visiting Istanbul it’s a must-see.

Ferry

There are several docks in Istanbul, from the European side to the Asian side, and it is one of the modes of transport most used by its population.
You may have heard that the sights of Istanbul are legendary.
And one of the most beautiful sights is the boat ride on the sea. The boat lines are extended during the summer.

The best part is that you only need an ‘Istanbul Card’ to be able to use these transportations.
